Doodlekit's Website Builder Gets Funky Fonts!

Now available with all Doodlekit layouts, you get the option to change your Header, Page, and Sidebar title fonts – and these aren’t the boring ‘web safe’ fonts either! Using a new version of sIFR technology, we were able to incorporate fonts outside the normal limits of use for web development. Most browsers support this technology - for the few that don’t, it gracefully degrades down to a web safe font.
Here is a sample of what your font selection looks like from the website builder admin tool:

Here is what a Doodlekit website looks like with the default font:

Here is the same website with a new ‘Funky Font’ selected for the title:

Thanks, we love this new feature. Seems to have a slight hiccup with Safari, tho.
When I go to view a new page, the old default font loads first and then the new font pops up. This doesn't happen in Firefox.
Nice job with the new fonts! Already found one to use on my website and it looks great! By the way Heath, thanks again for all your help on the phone. So far my experience with your company has been top notch!
Can I change the font or font color within the page (not just the header) in doodlekit? If not, is there a way to change it in html?
Depending upon which color theme you are using, the editor allows you select up to three colors for fonts in a page. Outside of those colors, you can use the Advanced CSS override editor to color anything with whatever color you want.
Well first of all I have two questions. In your opinion do you think it is safe for a child to make their own website even if it the policy it says they can? My second question is.... Can kids make their own blogs on this website builder because my 10 year old girl Katie wants to? I hope you answer them soon.
The answer to your first question is 'It Depends'. If you do decide to allow your child to blog, I would closely monitor their website at all times. Anyone on the World Wide Web can make blog comments to their blog posts - including spammers and predators. What you might do is upgrade their website and just use the ‘Forum’ instead. This requires people to ‘register’ before they can make comments. You get to decide if you want to accept a person’s registration or not, so you are in complete control of who is allowed to post stuff on their website.
Yes, Doodlekit is very easy to use. Easy enough that a 10 year old should have no problem using it.
very good
I am not seeing the Fonts in the edit window - what am I missing?
i agree with samantha is it ok for ten year olds make one cause my friends daughter was wanting to
