Is there any way to use special characters such as accents or cedillas on my website? I'd like to have a page in Spanish and the translation tool, while useful, tends to garble language a bit, so ideally I'd be able to write text in Spanish using the appropriate special characters. Thanks!

The editor should accept special characters. If you are on Windows you might look for the Character Map under Start > Accessories > System. This will allow you to copy the special characters and paste them into the text.
