Ok, i'm very new, but i was able to upload my custom header! woohoo! now i want to change the background but is there somewhere i can copy and paste the css and change the .jpg part to get my own background like the header? thanks so much guys!

Yep - there is an advanced CSS editor you can add your own custom CSS code and images to :). Its in the Admin Tools --> Advanced section.
