everytime i try to crop a custom header image, one that is within the max pixel size, I can only crop about half of my picture, i cant increase the size of the crop nor can i change it horizontaly and verticly, only on a diagonal axis.

ive spent many hours trying different picture sizes yet the problem remains.

The cropping tool is set up to do that on purpose. That is because your image has to be proportioned to the exact dimensions of the space provided for it. More flexibility can be achieved if you know Photoshop or some other graphics tool and can create your own header image.
