Uploading photos

Wed Mar 17, 2010 @ 03:57PM

After uploading my first photo album, all the existing photos on my site have disappeared. I tried to reload them but can't. I think it's something to do with where I put them after I hit "Upload" and I have to choose which album to put them in (even though these are going on the pages and not in an album.) The only choice of album it gives me is the album I have set up on my photos page - and I dont want these pix to go into that album. How do I start a new album in which to put these photos (so they dont appear on the albums page).
Thanks.

All images on any web server have to be uploaded and stored on the server somewhere. Images are never actually uploaded to a 'page'. They are uploaded someplace and then 'linked' to on pages.

The same applies for Doodlekit. You have to upload your images to an album first before you can link to them on a page. You can create as many albums as you want. You can also 'hide' an album so that only you can see it when logged in. You might want to do this for images you want to insert into pages but don't want a visible album showing for.
