Google Calendar wipes out side bar

Tue Sep 07, 2010 @ 10:08AM

Hi

I am new to DoodleKit ...but I love it. Here is what is happening. I want to include a google calendar in my website. When I past the HTML snipet that google provides it eventually wipes out the side bar. The weird thing is that it doesn't happen right away.

I have created a new page for this called Calendar.

Please help.

UPDATE -
OK...here is what is happening the html editor is removing parts of the snippet provided by google and inserting other parts.

HERE IS WHAT I PASTE IN FROM GOOGLE:
It is stripping out the html I am pasting in here to show you... but I need your help. Because your editor is making this change...not me...help.

""

THIS IS WHAT IT PUTS IN:

Seems like a bug.

Thanks,
Julia

Did you try using the 'red gear' in the editor to paste in your code? The reason the editor changes the code is because it is invalid - most widget code is not W3C compliant. The 'red gear' prevents the editor from trying to 'clean up' the code.

Yes, I did use the red gear. The weird thing is the same code works for the free site that I set up. But not the new paid for site. I am afraid to change the free site because then I won't have and example. What it is doing is chopping off the iframe tags and putting in /p tags.

Also, I validate the code each time and it does validate. It even looks like it is saved with iframe tags when I exit. Then it chops it off and changes it to /p tags. I loose the height setting when it chops it off. It is not just a replacement of the tags.

Thanks for posting.

NOPE ... I was wrong. I didn't use the red gear. I used the HTML tool. It seems to be working.

THANK YOU!
