link color

Mon Oct 26, 2009 @ 08:41AM

Is there a way to make links appear in a darker color such as a link in an email is blue without writing CSS? I don't want to change my color scheme on my website either. Any suggestions?

You would need to write some simple code to do this. Here is an example of the code you would write: http://codepad.org/vOVQ27L5

Okay, I know where this CSS code goes but I'm not sure how to word it. I want the color to be 630000 so that the links match the color of our main menu text. We have some CSS writing in our Advanced Settings but someone else wrote it. Can you help me or point me to someone who can please?

Just replace the 'cccccc' with '630000' in the example :).

Thanks for the help Heath. It's appreciated.

Is there a way to change the link colors but keep the menu links the color they are? Also, what number would I use for blue in the CSS language? I appreciate your help. :)

That would involve more serious CSS coding... you would need to research that yourself. Google 'hex color chart' to pick the hex color you are looking for.
